October is breast cancer awareness month and you can help Houston get the month started on the right foot with the Komen Houston Race for the Cure.  This is the largest foot race in Houston and you need to be a part of it!

Race For The Cure

Start the month off right with a race to cure breast cancer.

Last year’s event saw over 35,000 participants, including over 2,000 breast cancer survivors.  They raised over $3 million to fund breast cancer screening, treatment, and education.  The goal is to top that this year by raising $4 million!

The race will take place on October 1 and will begin and end at downtown’s Sam Houston Park.  The first race starts at 8 AM.

Registration for the race starts at $35 for adults or $30 if you’re a cancer survivor.  Kids 15 and under can participate for $20.  For $5 extra you can have a timing chip included in your race packet so you’ll have an accurate race time recorded which is great if you’re the competitive type!

Don’t miss out on a fun event that is support a great cause.  Register now and do your part in the fight against breast cancer.
